Moving Out

It's official! I'm moving out on the 1st of June. I've got two friends I'm going to live with, and we found a place that we all like. I'll be staying in the ward boundaries, too!

Taking Care of Business...While Taking Care of Business

Within seconds of walking in the bathroom today, I realized that the man in the occupied stall was having a conversation--on his phone. C'mon people! Who uses the restroom while talking on the phone??? What's worse is that he was on a business call and his voice indicated that, while not old enough to be going senile, he was no spring chicken. I'm sure he was at least 40 years old. He should know better! The only way I might excuse him is if he was thinking "I'm gonna take our conversation into the bathroom so that I can tell you what I really think of your presentation."

My regret is that I was so torn on deciding whether I should laugh or be disgusted that I didn't think fast enough to just flush the toilet and turn his conversation into an awkward conversation.

Just the Same Old Excitement

So I haven't been able to come up with anything to blog about lately. I had been attributing it to the fact that I have nothing exciting to blog about, which makes me think that life isn't exciting. Then I realized that just because I'm doing the same things doesn't mean they're not exciting.

I always have a performance I'm looking forward to, whether it's improv comedy, tap dancing, or sometimes a stage production (and sometimes all 3). I meet new people every week, go on lots of dates, and continually develop some really incredible friendships. I have 4 vacations this year that I'm planning, and many other goals on my bucket list I've been working on as well. I have a great job with incredible benefits.

So the fact that I can't come up with any stories I think are noteworthy doesn't mean that I'm bored with my life. I'm quite the opposite. I may be too busy to post something, or I may not feel like my stories are fit for the blogging world. But life is still amazing!

The Dating Race

I hope anyone reading this blog has had a chance to look at The Dating Race. If you haven't, go to thedatingrace.blogspot.com and check it out. It's what's kept me most busy this month (I've had about 3 dates for every 4 days so far). It's been a really fun month, and I'm closer to winning than I expected (I still think Shayla's gonna win in the end, but I'm trying to catch her). This is an especially good week to read the blog, as there will be a vote at the end of the month for which girl you think I should take on the group date (between me, Eric, and Shayla).
